Participating in a volunteer event may involve risks, including but not limited to weather, injury, illness, disability, death, and property damage or loss. I acknowledge that these risks may result from or be compounded by the actions, omissions, or negligence of the Event Organizers (including but not limited to Rotary International, Denver Southeast Rotary Club and its foundation, other Participating Rotary Clubs and their foundations, Rotarians, and other non-profits and their employees involved in the event) and Other Participants involved in the event (including but not limited to other volunteers, vendors such as RunSignup.com and their employees, and sponsors). I hereby accept and assume all such risks and do hereby waive all rights and claims for damages and injuries, known or unknown, that I may have against the Event Organizers and Other Participants. This Waiver and Release is binding on my heirs, executors, personal representatives, administrators, or assignees.

Medical Emergency: In the event of a medical emergency arising during the event, I hereby authorize the Event Organizers to secure from any accredited hospital, clinic and/ or physician any treatment deemed necessary for my immediate care. I agree that I will be fully responsible for payment of all medical services and treatment rendered to me including but not limited to medical transport, medications, treatment and hospitalization.

COVID-19: Relative to the event, I agree to abide by recommendations for preventing the spread of COVID-19 as issued by the Center for Disease Control (https://www.cdc.gov) and by the state and local jurisdictions.

Recording Release: I also authorize the use, copyright, or publication of my name, image, or voice resulting from volunteering in the event as may be captured by photograph or recording in any medium ("recordings"), to be used for promotional purposes related to the Event Organizer’s mission and this event. Examples of promotion and mission-related activities include, but are not limited to, social media, media relations, consumer relations, donor relations, and storytelling. If I subsequently object to the use of such recordings, the Event Organizers will cease using the recordings as promptly as reasonably and financially practicable.

This agreement is meant to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the state in which the event is held. If any portion of it is held invalid, the balance will continue in full force and effect. By clicking the box and submitting this entry, I acknowledge (or a parent or adult guardian for all children under 18 years acknowledges) having read and agreed to this waiver and release.
